The Animal Control Officer is responsible for managing problems and providing professional care and services for local animals and residents.
The Assessors' Office is responsible for administering Massachusetts property tax laws effectively and equitably and for producing accurate and fair appraisals of all taxable property.
The Building Department is committed to providing a superior customer experience and ensuring public safety through compliance with all state building/construction, plumbing and electrical laws, and conformance to applicable Town and Zoning Bylaws.
The Climate Action Committee proposes sustainable energy goals, to reduce Town greenhouse gas emissions from the municipal, residential, commercial, industrial and institutional sectors.
Council on Aging
The Council on Aging is a resource for residents over the age of 60. Its mission is to empower individuals to reach their goals; to offer comprehensive programs, services, and assistance that optimize quality of life; and to enable meaningful connections and collaborations that inspire a spirit of community across the generations in our town.
The Engineering Division provides the town with professional engineering, landscape architecture and technical services required to plan, coordinate, develop, design, construct, operate, and maintain town facilities and infrastructure.
The Facilities Management Department (FMD) is responsible for the maintenance and operation of all Wellesley schools and municipal buildings. FMD also provides planning, design and construction oversight for major building projects and provides day-to-day support for the Permanent Building Committee.
The Finance Department performs the accounting (accounts payable, payroll, general ledger), auditing, budgeting and financial reporting functions for the Town of Wellesley.
