Winter Schedule - Reusable area closes on December 2nd
The Wellesley Recycling and Disposal Facility (RDF) is now following a winter schedule.
Sunday hours have ended and the Reusables Area will close for the season on Saturday, December 2. The area will reopen in April 2024.
Hours for the Reusables Area for the remainder of this week are 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 30 through Saturday, December 2.
RDF hours for the upcoming holidays are below:
RDF will close at Noon on Saturday, December 23
CLOSED on Monday, December 25
RDF will close at NOON on Saturday, December 30
CLOSED on Monday, January 1
Paint Collection has concluded for the season. Check back in the spring for updates.
Hazardous Household WasteThe next HHW will be in the spring of 2024.Safely dispose of hazardous household waste (fertilizer, pesticides, etc.) and bring sensitive documents and paperwork to be securely shredded.
New Waste Ban in Effect November 1, 2022 Textiles & Mattresses added to MassDEP list
Nearly 100% of donated textiles are reused or recycled and are now prohibited from trash disposal. Mattresses, old T-shirts and socks, footwear, curtains, sheets and stuffed animals. All of these items, and more, can be dropped off at the Wellesley Recycling and Disposal Facility (RDF) giving them a second life and keeping them out of landfills. Use the RDF's donation containers or contact Big Brother Big Sister to schedule a pickup. Keep these items out of the trash and thank you for recycling!
