Climate Action Plan & Dashboard

Wellesley’s Climate Action Plan (CAP), completed in 2022, is a roadmap for reaching townwide greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction goals, adopted by Town Meeting in 2021: a 50% reduction in GHG emissions  below a 2007 baseline by 2030, a 75% reduction below the 2007 baseline by 2040, and net zero emissions by 2050. The CAP identifies 90 actions across six pathways: governance, energy, buildings, mobility, natural resources, and waste.

This dashboard is a tool for tracking progress on CAP actions. The dashboard indicates the status of each action (“not started,” “in progress,” “implemented”) and provides numerical values for metrics associated with each pathway.
