Granite Street Reconstruction Project

The Granite Street Project is complete and no additional work is anticipated on this project. Granite Street is under a road moratorium over a five year period, beginning October 2020. This means that no excavation work is allowed on Granite Street unless it is an emergency and approved by the Town Engineer.

Update: October 2020

As of October 20, 2020 the top coat of pavement has been installed and the majority of roadway reconstruction work has been completed on Granite Street. Remaining work includes completion of project punch list work and final cleanup of the project. We appreciate everyone's cooperation and patience during the project construction work.

The work will take place Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Police details will be onsite during the project to minimize impacts to traffic and other roadway functions. It is strongly suggested to use alternative routes during the construction hours.

The Department of Public Works will provide periodic updates to this project. Interested residents and those impacted by this project are encouraged to sign up to receive Public Works Project Updates via email at www.wellesleyma.gov/list.aspx.
