Some updates from Town Clerk KC Kato.
The 194th General Court has approved Chapter 24 of the Acts of 2025, An Act Dissolving the Wellesley Housing Development Corporation.
As a result of bylaw amendments approved by 2025 Annual Town Meeting, the Wellesley Affordable Housing Trust replaces the Wellesley Housing Development Corporation.
Town Meeting Special Elections
Special elections will take place in three Wellesley precincts to fill vacancies. Candidates are needed for Precincts A, C, and D.
Candidate deadlines and election dates are as follows:
- Precinct C Special Election to fill 3 vacancies– rescheduled to Monday October 6th at 7:00 PM. Interested candidates should contact KC Kato at kckato@wellesleyma.gov no later than September 29th.
- Precinct A Special Election to fill 2 vacancies – Tuesday October 7th at 6:30 PM. Interested candidates should contact KC Kato at kckato@wellesleyma.gov no later than September 30th.
- Precinct D Special Election to fill 1 vacancy – Thursday October 16th at 6:15 PM. Interested candidates should contact KC Kato at kckato@wellesleyma.gov no later than October 9th.
Individuals elected to these seats will be sworn in and will participate in the 2025 Special Town Meeting that begins on Monday, November 3 at 7:00 p.m. at Wellesley High School.
