Recycling of Road Construction Materials

RCM 1The Wellesley Department of Public Works recycles approximately 2,000 yards of road construction material such as asphalt, concrete, gravel and stone annually. At the end of each year the Highway Department, in cooperation with the Town`s Recycling & Disposal Facility crushes this material into a finished reprocessed gravel. This material is re-used by the department for ongoing maintenance and constructions projects. Over the years this process has helped the town handle the disposal of road construction waste in a economical and environmentally friendly way.
