The Wellesley Human Resources Board is seeking a candidate to fill a three-year term beginning on July 1, 2023.
This position is appointed by the Town Moderator and is open to any Wellesley resident who is not a member of another Town board or committee, or who is not an officer, official, or paid employee of the Town. Residents who are Town Meeting members may be appointed to the HR Board.
Candidates with education and experience in personnel management or labor relations are preferred but not required.
HR Board member responsibilities include the administration and review of the Town’s Classification and Salary Plan, and, as appropriate, adding new positions or reclassifying positions covered by the Plan. The Board also makes recommendations to maintain fair and equitable pay levels, and establishes policies and procedures for all Town employees who are not covered by collective bargaining agreements.
