Recovery is REAL: Restoring Every Aspect of Life
This recovery month focuses on the four major dimensions of recovery: health, home, community, and purpose. These are the building blocks that all people need to live healthy, happy, independent lives and to reach their full potential.

RECOVERY CENTERS AND SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER PROGRAMS
- Riverside Community Care Connect to Recovery (18+) Supportive approach helping individuals achieve recovery from substance addiction and mental health issues as well as improve their overall wellness and quality of life as defined by the person.
- Riverside Community Care Outpatient Counseling for Children & Families :Children and youth seeking counseling to manage anxiety, depression, stress, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, PTSD, suicidal thoughts, substance use, and other mental health conditions.
- Newton Wellesley Hospital Substance Use Service: Provides consultative and ongoing outpatient services to adults suffering with substance use disorders. Our multidisciplinary team is committed to supporting patients during both the evaluation period and throughout the stages of recovery. We provide a safe and non-judgmental environment for those struggling with all manner of addiction.
- Massachusetts Organization for Addiction Recovery: Massachusetts Access to Recovery (ATR) is a 6-month program designed for individuals who have a substance use disorder (SUD), and who are seeking support with their recovery. ATR enables participants to create a recovery plan unique to their own needs and choose from a wide range of recovery support services. Both professionals and peers provide services through a variety of community organizations.
- Turning Point Recovery Center: Offers opportunities to connect individuals in recovery to all types of support; peer community meetings, daily recovery activities, and peer groups; safe, non-judgmental, supportive, and inclusive culture; support, resources, and encouragement for all paths of recovery.
RESIDENTS WITHOUT HEALTH INSURANCE: Uninsured residents can receive FREE recovery support from Riverside Community Care (starting April 2025). If you need recovery support and don't have insurance or your insurance does not cover recovery coach services, the Health Department can assist. The Health Department has a contract with Riverside Community Care to provide recovery support in-person and/or via telehealth.
