New employees and employees who become benefit eligible for the first time during their employment with the Town are eligible to sign up for a basic term life insurance policy in the amount of $10,000 within the first 30 days of their benefit eligible date. Basic life insurance is available only during the first 30 days of employment or during the first 30 days of initial benefit eligibility and is not an open enrollment offering. The cost for the basic life insurance is $14.03 per month. If enrolled when you retire from the Town of Wellesley, this can be converted to a $5,000 policy.
