 Catch Connect is a curb-to-curb service, not a door-to-door service. Additionally, the MWRTA does have a regular Fixed Route Bus Route and if you are qualified a Demand Response Program. All Wellesley Residents must be pre-registered to take advantage of these transportation services. Reservations must be made 72 hours in advance. Transportation applications can be picked up at the Wellesley Council on Aging.

Wellesley Council on Aging Bus

• 12 passenger / 2 wheelchair lift-equipped bus 

• Drivers are employed by the COA

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:45 a.m. (first pick up – 3:30 p.m

  • The 1st and 3rd Monday of the month are designated shopping days   (Market Basket, Target and Walmart) (9:00 am to 12:00 pm)
  • Tuesday Afternoons are reserved for the Food Pantry

                 • Rides for medical appointments, shopping, and more

• Weekly grocery shopping at Roche Bros (Wednesdays and Fridays)

•Special shopping Trips  (Walmart, Market Basket, Ocean State Job Lot, and Target)

Springwell Medical Escort Program

The Medical Escort Program  - To be eligible for the Medical Escort Program an individual must:

1. Be 60 years of age or older

2. Live in:

  • Belmont
  • Brookline
  • Needham
  • Newton

  • Wellesley
  • Weston

MWRTA-The RIDE

The MetroWest RIDE provides service to Wellesley residents who cannot independently access public transportation options.

MBTA Senior Charliecard

Reduced fare pass for people with a disability or seniors (65+) who can utilize public transportation from the MBTA such as buses, the green line trolley, or the commuter rail.

The Metrowest Regional Transit Authority (MWRTA) Boston Area Hospital Shuttle

The MWTRA provides a shuttle bus to the following centers:
  • Beth Israel
  • Brigham and Women's
  • Dana Farber
  • Joslin Clinic
  • NE Baptist
  • New England Deaconess
  • VA Jamaica Plain
  • VA West Roxbury

American Cancer Society's "Road to Recovery" Program

Volunteers provide rides to cancer-related medical appointments in the area.

RSVP Rides for Veterans - Norfolk County

Volunteers provide rides for Veterans residing in Norfolk county, including to VA Hospitals in the area.
