Due to the ongoing pandemic, the Fire Department has moved to a new format. On Saturday, November 21, instead of an in-person gathering, firefighters and volunteers will deliver prepared and safely packaged Thanksgiving meals to senior homes between 11 a.m. and noon.
The food is prepared by Roche Bros. in Wellesley and features a traditional Thanksgiving menu.
The Fire Department will also host a remote dinner program that will be broadcast on Wellesley Media and include:
- Welcome remarks from Chief Rick DeLorie
- Pledge of Allegiance and POW/MIA recognition from Firefighter Ben Hampton (United States Marine Corps)
- Meal blessing from John Schuler
- Safety presentation from Lt. Paul Delaney
Entertainment during the program will be provided by the Wellesley High School quartet.
