The Town of Wellesley will hold its remote Annual Town Meeting and Special Town Meeting beginning at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2020, using the Zoom meeting platform.
Due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, Special Legislation was approved by the State Legislature and signed by Governor Baker giving municipalities the authority to hold Town Meetings remotely. Town officials and Town Meeting members have conducted two tests in the past two weeks using this platform in order to address any technical issues. A third test, a question and answer session for Town Meeting Members, will take place on Thursday, June 18.
All Town Meeting Members will receive a personal link to participate in the meeting on Monday, June 22.
Remote 2020 Annual Town Meeting and Special Town Meeting will be televised live on Comcast channel 8 and Verizon channel 40 beginning at 7 p.m. and will be live streamed on Wellesley Media https://www.wellesleymedia.org/live-streaming.html
As per the Special Legislation, non-Town Meeting Members who are registered voters residing in the Town who wish to participate in remote Town Meeting must submit a request to participate to the Town Clerk not less than 48 hours in advance of the Town Meeting (by Saturday, June 20 at 7 p.m.).
When submitting this request, non-Town Meeting Members who wish to make a comment, ask a question, or otherwise address Town Meeting, should email Town Clerk KC Kato (kckato@wellesleyma.gov) with the following information:

Once verified, you will receive follow up information with specific participation instructions for the meeting.
Presentations on specific Town Meeting articles have been recorded in advance and videos of those presentations can be viewed on the Town of Wellesley website or on the Wellesley Government channel. The Advisory Committee Report and Supplemental Report are also available online.
