[ARCHIVED] Let the Rain Drain

Catch Basin

The Department of Public Works (DPW) is asking residents for help clearing debris from catch basins during rainy, windy weather to prevent street flooding.

The forecast for the next few days calls for periods of strong wind and rain. Downed leaves, small branches and sediment can clog basin drains and cause storm water runoff to back up into roadways.

Please keep an eye on the catch basins in your neighborhood. If you see debris collecting at the basin covers, periodically shoveling it off will help keep the drains clear.

To report severe flooding, please email the DPW or call 781-235-7600 ext. 3325.

Have a safe and Happy Halloween!
