Night paving will take place on local roads beginning on Tuesday, September 3 and continuing through Monday, September 9, weather permitting.
The work will take place between 7 PM and 9 AM. The affected streets will be paved in this order:
- Schaller Street
- Washington Street (from Wellesley College Service Drive to Natick town line)
- Weston Road (from Central Street to Washington Street)
- Waban Street
- Abbott Street
- Cross Street
- Church Street
- Spring Street
- Wellesley Avenue (from the Great Plain Avenue rotary to Washington Street)
Traffic will be restricted during paving. DPW crews and Wellesley Police Department officers will be on site to direct drivers through any detours.
While streets will be accessible to residents, there is no parking or driving on the freshly laid pavement.
Wellesley Square residents may park overnight in the Waban Street lot during this process.
Once paving is completed and the new asphalt has settled, crosswalks in these areas will be repainted. Until that time, please use extreme caution when crossing roadways.
For questions or concerns about the paving, email the DPW Highway Division or call 781-235-7600 ext. 3325.
Thank you for your patience during this process.
