Department of Public Works (DPW) contractors will be working on residential side streets and along Weston Road from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Drivers can expect brief detours between Central Street and Washington Street in Wellesley Square while work crews are in that area.
Wellesley Police Department officers and DPW crews will be directing traffic. NO metered or on-street parking is allowed in the area while the work is done.
In addition to Weston Road, other roadways to be resurfaced are: Alhambra Road, Earle Road (from Cleveland Road to Haven Road only), Haven Road, School Street (near Sprague School), Benvenue Street (Dover Road to Grove Street only), Colgate Road, and Winding River Road.
No water can be on the road during the resurfacing; please turn off sprinkler systems.
Streets will reopen to normal traffic one hour after the work is completed. Avoid making sharp turns on the new surface for 24 hours.
We apologize for any inconvenience experienced during this work.
