The Department of Public Works summer construction schedule is ramping up.
Night Road Work
On July 11 and 12, the DPW will be grinding and milling a section of Washington Street from the Wellesley College Service Drive to the Natick town line. This work will take place at night from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
There is NO PARKING on Washington Street during this process. Traffic will be restricted. Once the grinding and milling is complete, the street will re-open for normal traffic.
Drivers are asked to use caution as the roadway will be rough and structures (manhole and catch basin frames, water gates, etc.) will be raised. The area will be paved as soon as the paving contractor is available.
Sidewalk Construction and Ramp Repairs
Also beginning on July 11 and continuing through August 2, the DPW will be replacing sections of sidewalk and sidewalk ramps on Linden Street (from Hill Top Road to Everett Street) and on Weston Road (from Linden Street to Garrison Road).
Please use caution while proceeding around these work sites. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
