At the regular Board of Selectmen's meeting on Monday, February 25, the Board and Town of Wellesley Executive Director of General Government, Blythe C. Robinson, announced that Ms. Robinson is leaving her position with the Town effective March 1, 2019.

In her tenure with the Town, Ms. Robinson restructured the Selectmen's office, drafted updated policies and procedures for the Board's consideration, and worked assiduously to implement the Board's decisions. Her effective financial management is reflected in the healthy financial position the Town continues to enjoy.

While the Board and the Town have benefited from Ms. Robinson's leadership, she has decided to seek other opportunities.

In a statement read at the Selectmen's meeting, Board chair Jack Morgan said,"The Board is appreciative of all of Blythe's efforts on the Town's behalf and we wish her well in her future endeavors. We thank her for her dedication and commitment to the Town."

Ms. Robinson stated, "While I am grateful for the professionalism and support of staff, elected and appointed officials, and citizens, I have decided to explore a leadership position in a municipality with a more traditional organizational structure."

A search for Ms. Robinson's successor will be managed by the Board of Selectmen.
