Safely and responsibly dispose of old or unused medications on Saturday, April 22 as part of National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
Residents can bring any unused or expired prescription medications or over the counter drugs to the Wellesley Police Department (485 Washington Street) from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Drop them off safely and anonymously.
This event provides a convenient and controlled means for individuals to dispose of medications, including pet medications.
The majority of misused prescription drugs are obtained from family and friends, often from home medicine cabinets. Please remember to store any medications actively in use, in a secure safe place.
Please note: Residents may also dispose of any sharps (or needles), including epi-pens, at this event. Place sharps in a sturdy, puncture and leak proof container.
