Real estate and personal property tax bills for the 4th Quarter of Fiscal Year 2023 are due on Monday, May 1. Homeowners are encouraged to pay bills online.
Wellesley offers an online payment system through the Town website. Many taxpayers already use this feature to schedule payments via an ACH debit from their bank account on a specific date at no charge to the taxpayer (a credit card can also be used but there is a convenience fee of 2.95% assessed to the taxpayer).
Go to www.wellesleyma.gov and click on “Pay a Bill” via the main page. There are step-by-step instructions on how to process your tax payment.
Tax payments also may be hand-delivered to the Treasurer's Office. PLEASE NOTE: Due to renovations at Wellesley Town Hall, the Treasurer's Office is moving to temporary location at 888 Worcester Street (Route 9), Suite 140.
The new office location will be open and staffed on Monday, April 10. Treasurer’s Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
At this time, please DO NOT deliver payments to the Town Hall ballot and payment drop box as that will be inaccessible due to Town Hall renovations.
For residents who choose to mail in payments via the U.S. Post Office, the Wellesley Police Department recommends using the mail slots inside the Post Office, rather than the blue USPS mail boxes to ensure your payments are secure.
For questions about tax bills, please contact the Treasurer’s Office at 781-431-1019 ext. 2266.
