[ARCHIVED] Annual Town Election is March 1, 2022

Wellesley will hold its Annual Town Election on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. 

The Select Board has approved and signed the election warrant. Copies of the signed warrant are posted online, in the Town Clerk's office, and at the Wellesley Police Department. Election 2022_warrant

Voters will be selecting individuals to fill vacant seats on a number of Town Boards and Committees and will also be selecting Town Meeting members.

Due to the 2020 Federal Census, precinct boundaries in Precincts B, C, D, E, F, G and H have been revised and therefore all thirty (30) Town Meeting member seats in those Precincts are up for election. See the new precincts Map.  

At least ten (10) Precinct A Town Meeting member seats will be up for election. 

Also due to the 2020 Federal Census, there are new voting locations for 2022:

  • Precincts A & C: Bates Elementary School, 116 Elmwood Road
  • Precinct B: Sprague Elementary School, 401 School Street
  • Precincts D & E: Warren Building, 90 Washington Street
  • Precincts F & G: Shipley Center, Dana Hall School, 142 Grove Street
  • Precinct H: Tolles Parsons Center, Council on Aging, 500 Washington Street

On Election Day, polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. 

Town Meeting Member Nomination Papers. Candidates interested in running for a Town Meeting member seat must obtain nomination papers by Friday, January 21 at 5:00 p.m. Contact the Town Clerk's office to make an appointment to pull papers. 

Ten or more signatures of registered voters of that precinct are required to be nominated. 

Papers must be returned to the Clerk's Office by Tuesday, January 25 at 5:00 p.m.
