The Wellesley Police Department is once again a drop off location for the annual United States Marine Corps (USMC) Toys for Tots drive.
The Toys for Tots program takes donated new, unopened toys, and distributes them to less fortunate children during the holiday season. In an average year, the program donates some 18 million toys to seven million children.
The chief purpose of the program is to ‘deliver a message of hope that will inspire youngsters to grow.’
The Wellesley Police Department is proud to continue to act a drop off point for the Toys for Tots Program. Gifts may be dropped off in the lobby to the Wellesley Police Station. The program is overseen by Officer Travis Dixon, Officer Steven Gaffney, and Chief Jack Pilecki.
Toy donations will be accepted through January 2022. Questions regarding the Toys for Tots program can be sent to Officer Travis Dixon at TDixon@Wellesleyma.gov or by calling 781-235-1212.
