Veterans and others who contribute so much to our community will be honored during the 53rd Annual Wellesley Veterans Parade.
The parade is a favorite among the many events planned for Wellesley's Wonderful Weekend 2021 and will take place on Sunday, October 3 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
This year's theme celebrates the "80th Anniversary of the USO (United Service Organizations)" and includes floats, bands, entertainment acts, and more.
The parade route follows Washington Street (Route 16) from Route 9 to Central Street. Please note: Washington Street will be closed to vehicle traffic during the parade. Central Street will also be closed to traffic during on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the Wheels of Wellesley event.
Celebrations continue at Hunnewell Field after the parade with the community Picnic in the Park beginning at 4 p.m. followed by a music concert featuring The Reminisants and a USO Variety Show by Wellesley Theatre Project.
