Renovations to the Wellesley Middle School building systems will take place during the summer months of 2021.
This project is a partnership between the School Department and the Facilities Management Department and has been presented, reviewed and supported by the School Committee, Permanent Building Committee, Advisory Committee, and Town Meeting.
The work has been bundled together to minimize disruption to the building and keep costs low.
Renovations will focus on updating the HVAC (Heating Venting and Air Conditioning) systems, replacing casework in classrooms to improve storage and functionality, repairing some of the exterior facade, and updating the cafeteria serving and kitchen areas.
The project team will hold a community webinar on Tuesday, March 23 at 7 p.m. to share specific details, answer questions, and outline plans to lessen the construction disruption for WMS neighbors.

Individuals who would like to speak during Citizen Speak but not participate in the webinar should email Steve Gagosian, FMD Design and Construction Manager, to receive a call-in number.
