[ARCHIVED] Meet Animal Control Officer Jenny Smith

Police News

Wellesley’s new Animal Control Officer Jennifer “Jenny” Smith is ready to assist the Town's furry and fluffy residents.

Jenny has a passion for working with and training dogs and most recently managed a dog daycare where she held training classes ranging from puppy kindergarten, basic obedience, canine good citizen classes, and Therapy Dog International test preparation.

She’s ownedACO_Smith.landscape her own pet-sitting business for several years and is familiar with the Town and its parks and trails where people enjoy walking their dogs.

Jenny volunteers for Therapy Dogs International where dogs are taken on therapeutic visits to hospitals, nursing homes, and hospice patients. She’s taught basic agility elements and course handling for dog competitions and also has competed in dog shows such as the Westminster Dog Show, as well as in equestrian competitions.

Officer Jenny Smith is available by email at jsmith@wellesleyma.gov or by phone at 781-235-8460.
