The MetroWest Regional Transit Authority (MWRTA) is changing transportation service in Wellesley. These changes will affect the MWRTA Route 8 bus.
Residents are invited to attend virtual office hours hosted by the MWRTA on Monday, February 8 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. to learn more about these plans. Register with the MWRTA in advance to attend.
On Monday, February 15, 2021 the MWRTA Route 8 bus for Wellesley will end services. This route will be replaced with a new on-demand, app-based service called CATCH Connect that will operate within the community and a few nearby locations.
CATCH Connect is part of the MWRTA micro-transit service. Using this service, riders can download the MWRTA CATCH app on a smartphone and begin booking trips.
Trips are available in Wellesley and select locations including the Woodland T station and the Natick Council on Aging. Service is provided Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
CATCH Connect is now in its final testing period to be ready for riders in the coming weeks.
During the virtual office hours, residents will have the chance to ask questions, share concerns and give feedback.

Please note: These service changes do not affect the MWRTA Route 1 bus which is the commuter shuttle along Route 9 through Wellesley.
