Nomination papers for candidates interested in running for a Town-wide office are available until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 8 from the Town Clerk. Since Town Hall is still closed to the public due to the pandemic, contact the Town Clerk's office to make an appointment to pull papers.
Nomination papers for Town-wide positions must be returned to the Clerk for certification by Tuesday, January 12 at 5:00 p.m.
The open Board and Committee positions are:
- Select Board - 2 open seats
- Housing Authority - 2 open seats (5-year term); 1 open seat (1-year term)
- Natural Resources Commission - 2 open seats
- Board of Public Works - 1 open seat
- Planning Board - 1 open seat
Candidates must be Wellesley residents, and for certain offices, must be a registered voter.
Town Meeting Member Candidates.
Residents interested in running for Town Meeting Member positions have until 5:00 p.m. on Friday January 22 to pull nomination papers. These papers are also available from the Town Clerk's Office by appointment only.
Candidates for Town Meeting Member must live in the precinct in which they are running.
The deadline to return Town Meeting Member nomination papers is Tuesday, January 26.
The annual Town elections are scheduled for Tuesday, March 2, 2021.
