Wellesley will hold a community visioning session on the future of the MassBay development on Monday, December 8 from 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
The public is encouraged to attend and share your ideas.
The MassBay parcel at 40 Oakland Street is owned by the Commonwealth and development of this area is expected following action by the MassBay Board of Trustees and sale by the Commonwealth.
Your input will contribute a community-driven vision for this parcel that protects open space and creates additional housing, aligning with statutory requirements while prioritizing community values and goals.
The session will take place in the Wellesley High School cafeteria (50 Rice Street). Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. This is an in-person only meeting.
The final concept will inform the Commonwealth's Request for Proposals (RFP) from potential developers after a future sale of the parcel.
