[ARCHIVED] Traffic Alert! Weston Road Closure and Detours Begin July 1

alert-image.red

Beginning Tuesday, July 1, Weston Road will be completely closed between Route 9 and Manor Avenue on weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Traffic delays are expected.

The Weston Road Reconstruction Project, which began in May 2025, is entering its next phase this summer as part of a comprehensive infrastructure improvement effort that will continue through June 2026.

Detail officers will be on-site daily to help manage traffic and assist with pedestrian safety.

Residents living on this section of Weston Road, including Louis Drive, Durant Road, Claflin Road, Bryn Mawr Road, Thomas Road, and Garrison Road will be assisted by officers to maintain safe local access.

Residents on the east side of Weston Road (e.g. Pilgrim Road, Elmwood Road, Pine Plain Road, etc.) are encouraged to use Alhambra Road or Martin Road to reach Cleveland Road and follow detour signs, rather than exiting Route 9 and crossing Weston Road at the ramp.

All other traffic must follow posted detours or use alternate routes. Drivers are strongly encouraged to avoid this area when possible.

Delivery drivers including the US Postal Service, UPS, Fed Ex, and Amazon have been notified of this closure. Please be patient as drivers adjust to the detours and alternate routes.

Weston Road Businesses
Businesses along Weston Road will remain open and fully accessible throughout the construction. The road closure will not affect access to their parking lot or entrances. Please continue to support these local retailers during this important public works project.
