The updated Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) winter schedule is now in effect, with additional mid-day trains returning to the Framingham-Worcester line weekday commuter rail service.
The mid-day trains were eliminated for a few months to accommodate construction.
The new winter schedule includes minor time adjustments for potential slippery rails and to ensure safety on the tracks.
Riders should be aware that inbound and outbound trains on the Framingham-Worcester line sometimes switch tracks due to construction activity along the entire line. Commuters should check the schedule and alerts when planning train trips.
