Landowners will want to be aware of the new Stormwater Utility fee that will be added to their monthly utility bill beginning on July 1.
Similar to Wellesley’s existing water, sewer, and electric utilities, this fund creates a separate accounting and financial reporting method for managing the Town’s drainage systems. Approved at Wellesley Town Meeting, the Stormwater Utility Enterprise Fund provides dedicated money to help the Town meet stringent stormwater management requirements and address climate change impacts.
The newsletter also includes other information on current outdoor watering restrictions, road resurfacing, sidewalk projects, RDF news, and more.
Along with the newsletter, the Water Division has released the 2023 Consumer Confidence Report on the quality of Wellesley drinking water.
Completed with the partnership of the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (Mass DEP) the report analyzes Wellesley's drinking water sources and helps DPW focus its efforts on the best water management practices and best water supply source protection measures.
