Drivers should expect detours on Bacon Street until early September 2021.
Work on the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) Bacon Street Bridge replacement project is continuing in this area.
Construction is planned from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday beginning on Monday, August 2 until Friday, September 10.
Traffic on Bacon Street will be detoured during construction. Signs will be in place to direct drivers and a detour map is available on the project website.
Drivers should avoid the area or seek alternate routes if possible as delays are expected.
The schedule for this project is weather dependent and may change. Message boards in the area will display the most up-to-date information.
Neighbors will be notified by email before any activities that have significant noise or traffic impacts.
