The Wellesley Fire and Rescue Department will hold a dive team training event at Morses Pond on Monday, July 12 and Wednesday, July 14.
Training will take place between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on the left side of the Morses Pond beach and involve Cambridge and Natick dive teams and Wellesley Fire Boat personnel.
Residents may see emergency vehicles and equipment in the area. Please note: this is ONLY a training exercise.
Rescue personnel prepare and take part in these events in case of a water emergency in either the summer or winter months. However, through continued water and ice safety education, Fire Chief Rick DeLorie hopes these services will never be required by our community.
