  1. Public Records

On June 3, 2016, Governor Baker signed An Act to Improve Public Records into law. This act requires municipalities to designate 1 or more Records Access Officers (RAO), who shall coordinate the Town's response to requests for access to public records; assist individuals seeking public records in identifying the records requested; and assist the custodian of records in preserving public records. More information on the new Public Records Law is available from the Secretary of the Commonwealth.

At its December 12, 2016 regular meeting, the Board of Selectmen appointed the following individuals as Wellesley RAOs:

  • K.C. Kato, Town Clerk,  525 Washington Street,  781-431-1019 x2280
  • Meghan Jop, Executive Director,  525 Washington Street,  781-431-1019 x2200
  • Lt. Marie Cleary, WPD Support Services Commander,  485 Washington Street,  781-235-1212
  • Cynthia D. Mahr, Asst. Superintendent for Finance and Operations, 40 Kingsbury Street,  781-446-6210 x5611

Wellesley's RAO's may be contacted via email at records@wellesleyma.gov. RAO's have also prepared Public Records Access Guidelines (PDF) to help requestors to make informed requests. Please use the links below for quick access to the most frequently requested public records.
