The Couple’s Retirement Puzzle

TONIGHT!

Wednesday, April 19th
7:00 PM
Wellesley Free Library – Wakelin Room
Dori Mintzer, Retirement Coach and Speaker* *Hybrid

Whether you are in a same-sex or heterosexual marriage or relationship, when you retire, your retirement will impact not just you but your relationship and the entire family system. It is not unusual for couples to not be on the same page when it comes to retirement planning or living during the retirement transition years. In this presentation, you will learn some of the fundamentals for effective communication with your partner/spouse or whomever is important in your life. It will also go over some of the most important conversations to have as well as strategies to help you learn to compromise so you are able to create both an individual vision as well as a shared vision which, hopefully, takes into account some of what each of you want and need.  Presented in partnership with Wellesley Neighbors and by the Wellesley Free Library, this event is held at the Wellesley Main Library, 530 Washington Street  in the Wakelin Room. The event  is made possible by a generous grant from The Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club.

* This program is a hybrid of in person and on Zoom. Please call 781-235-3961 to register. A Zoom link will be emailed to you an hour before the event should you choose to not attend in person.

While scraping by as a supermarket clerk, he meets Carmen, a Sunday school teacher who seems immune to his bad-boy charm. Determined to win her over, the longtime agnostic starts going to church to impress her. However, a motorcycle accident leaves him wondering if he can use his second chance to help others, leading to the surprising realization that he's meant to be a Catholic priest.
