COA Board Policy

Vaccinations & Masks Required to participate in COA Activities and Programs at the Tolles Parsons Center

Mask Required

COA Board Policy

At their February 24th meeting, the COA Board voted to accept their proposed policy on a vaccination and mask requirement for participants to partake in programs and activities at the Tolles Parsons Center.  A letter from the Board Chair, Marlene Allen, and the full policy can be viewed here.

Part I - Vaccination Requirement
Starting March 2nd

The policy requires those who participate in COA Activities and Programs at the Tolles Parsons Center to be fully vaccinated, including any boosters they are eligible for, for COVID-19.

Your Vaccination Card

Starting on March 2nd, when you enter the Tolles Parsons Center, you will be asked to show your vaccination card.  Once shown, a volunteer/staff member will apply a sticker to your COA Key Fob (or provide you with a Key Fob if you do not have one).  For all visits moving forward, you will only need to show your COA Key Fob with the sticker and you will be good to go.

Attestation

If you do not have your vaccination card on you and you do not yet have a sticker on your COA Key Fob, you will be asked to complete an attestation on an iPad.  The attestation will require you to include today's date, your name, and to agree that you are fully vaccinated including any and all boosters you are eligible for.  Only the Director and Assistant Director will have access to this data.

Part II - Mask Requirement
Starting March 7th

The Town-wide building Mask Mandate expires on March 7th.  This new COA policy requires those who participate in COA Activities and Programs at the Tolles Parsons Center to continue to wear a mask in order to participate in programs and activities at the Tolles Parsons Center.

Questions/Concerns

We anticipate that there may be questions and concerns regarding this policy.  The COA Board has a regularly scheduled Outreach Session in person on Tuesday, March 8th at 1:00 PM, where such concerns may be brought to their attention.  You can sign-up for this by emailing us here or by calling us at (781) 235-3961.  You can also reach the Director, Heather Munroe, by email here or by calling (781) 400-3215.

Looking for a Booster?

We are trying to gauge if we have enough interest to partner with the Board of Health to offer a COVID-19 Booster clinic.  If you would be interested, please let us know here.
