COVID-19 Booster Reminder

Is it time for a booster?

As we approach the holiday season, we encourage Wellesley seniors to protect their health by getting their COVID-19 booster shot if they are eligible. Boosters are the best way to stay safe and prevent hospitalization from COVID-19. COVID-19 boosters are safe, effective, and free. Individuals do not need an ID or health insurance to access a booster, and do not need to show a vaccine card.

Should I get the booster shot?

The FDA and CDC have determined that the COVID-19 booster shots are safe and will increase protection against COVID-19. However, public health experts are starting to see reduced protection, especially among certain populations, against mild and moderate disease, and getting the booster shot is recommended to increase vaccine effectiveness.

Who is eligible?

  • Individuals 18+ who are fully vaccinated and received their last Pfizer or Moderna vaccine six months ago or longer; or
  • Individuals 18+ who are fully vaccinated and received their Johnson & Johnson vaccine at least two months ago.
For a visual eligibility graphic, please see this Booster Eligibility Graphic.
