Frank King Musical Lecture – More Crooner Comedy
Between the Big Band years of the ‘30s and ‘40s and the onslaught of Rock ‘n Roll was a “Golden Age” of beautiful recorded music. You’ll be smiling as you listen to amusing ditties by Spike Jones & Doodles Weaver, Dean Martin, Allan Sherman, Mary Martin, and others. The lecture will include the hit tongue-twisting tune based on an English nursery rhyme. A funny lesson from the great Lorenz Hart on how to “dispose” of multiple husband and a tribute medley to the most talented novelty song composer of the 1950s
