Communities at low risk for Coronavirus, including Wellesley, may move to the next step in Phase 3 of Reopening Massachusetts.
New guidelines in effect on Monday, October 5 permit higher occupancy for businesses, restaurants, recreation venues, gyms and more.
Wellesley Health officials are reviewing these guidelines and urging caution. Our community remains low risk because of cooperation by all residents to adhere to current restrictions.
The Town continues to remind residents to do their part so cases stay low, schools stay in-person, and everyone stays safe.
Questions about these new guidelines should be directed to the Health Department.
Travel Order Update
There are changes to the current Massachusetts COVID-19 Travel Order.
Colorado, New Jersey, New Mexico, and Washington state have increased COVID-19 case numbers and are again classified as "higher-risk" states and subject to the travel order.
Washington D.C. is now classified as a "lower-risk" state. Healthy travelers arriving in Massachusetts from D.C. do not have to complete the Travel Order Form or quarantine.
