[ARCHIVED] Shop Local on Tax-Free Weekend and Beyond

shop local

Support your favorite Wellesley merchants by shopping locally during sales tax-free weekend and throughout the fall.

The State’s annual sales tax-free weekend is planned for Saturday, August 29 through Sunday, August 30. The event supports both consumers and businesses. This year shoppers are especially encouraged to support small, local businesses impacted by the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

Many businesses in Wellesley continue to face challenges and keep working very hard to find creative ways to attract and serve their customers.

In addition to tax-free weekend, the Commonwealth has launched "My Local MA," a campaign showcasing the variety of businesses and attractions that are a critical part of our State and local economies.

The campaign runs through December 2020 and includes information and resources for shoppers, as well as a dedicated website FindMyLocalMA.com

A reminder to all shoppers to continue to adhere to current Coronavirus requirements and safety practices including "masking up" when shopping and practicing social distancing to keep all employees and consumers safe.
