Staff and Radiation Safety specialists will present an overview of the Small Cell Antenna project and answer questions.

Residents who would like to participate in the webinar may register in advance at https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_-HHuGUJ-QwK2vj6-vEkF3Q

Due to the technical nature of this subject, all questions must be submitted in advance to SmallCell@wellesleyma.gov by Monday, June 22

Since 2007, the WMLP has been working to improve Town-wide cellular coverage without deploying large cell towers. There are still many areas in Wellesley that have little or no cell coverage.

The Small Cell Antenna project allows for the installation of a two-foot shrouded antenna mounted on top of a WMLP utility pole and shrouded radio equipment at mid-pole. These antennas are similar to those used by wireless carriers, utilities and safety providers.

The antennas are scheduled to be installed on 42 poles in July and August.
