The Town of Wellesley is seeking a volunteer with financial experience to fill a vacancy on the Audit Committee.
This committee consists of five residents who are appointed by the Town Moderator and serve a two-year term. The current vacant seat is for a term ending on March 31, 2024.
Financial experience can include, but is not limited to, accounting expertise.
The Audit Committee’s principal responsibilities include annually appointing an independent Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or accounting firm to audit the Town’s financial statements, defining the scope of the auditor’s assignments, and reviewing the auditor’s findings and conclusions with the appropriate Town boards and committees.
