Stay Safe While Staying Home
Now, more than ever, homes and yards are a safe refuge and recreational resource during the Coronravirus crisis. Take steps to keep your family, your pets, your neighborhood, and our entire community safe during these times.
Cleaning and Disinfecting
You can combat the Coronavirus effectively while using household products that are safe for you and your family. Never ingest cleaning products and keep them away from children.
- wash surfaces with regular liquid dish soap and water for 20 seconds to deactivate the virus;
- read product labels and choose those with hydrogen peroxide, alcohol (isopropyl alcohol or ethanol), citric acid and lactic acid as active ingredients; avoid quaternary ammonium compounds;
- use bleach, diluted (4 teaspoons bleach per quart of water) with caution and leave on for 1 min;
- never mix two different products!
