Outdoor Skating Rinks Are Closed For The Season. Thanks to Needham Bank for sponsoring the rinks and for bringing this fun winter activity to Wellesley!!!! See you next winter!!
Three rinks; located on the outdoor basketball courts at the High School. Largest rink is for hockey (this one is closed for the season, due to a rip in the liner and loss of water); second largest for recreational skaters and the small rink for the younger kids.Open dawn-dusk. Park in the HS lot. Please be respectful of other skaters, the rinks and the area in general. Please don't litter. Please take notice of the ice conditions; don't skate if the ice conditions aren't good. Please pardon us if you show up and we are doing some sort of maintenance (like if the Fire Dept is there adding water). We do it when we can and we're sorry if you show up and are not able to skate at that time. After snowstorms, please feel free to show up with a shovel. The rinks need to be cleaned off in order to skate!

SNOW POLICY: When Wellesley Public Schools are closed, all Recreation programs are cancelled (day and night). When Wellesley Public Schools have a delayed opening, our day will begin when the school day begins. For example a 2 hour school delay, means that we will start our programs at 10am (we consider 8am the start of the school day). Any programs that normally take place before 10am will be cancelled. For weekend programs, we will make a decision on Friday and we will call participants.
