**  CLERK OF THE WORKS  **

The Town of Wellesley recognizes the need to provide outstanding maintenance and operational services in its School and Town buildings through its Facilities Maintenance Department (FMD).  The FMD manages 29 buildings totaling over a million square feet, with a staff of approximately 70 and an operating budget of $7.5 million, plus a major capital projects budget.  The Town seeks outstanding candidates who are hard-working, ambitious, and committed to working in a team environment.

The FMD is currently looking for a part-time (19 hours/week) Clerk of the Works for a project expected to be completed in August 2018.  Reporting to the FMD’s Design and Construction Manager, the incumbent’s primary responsibility is to oversee the School Security Project.  Work is performed in compliance with the Massachusetts building codes and all applicable safety procedures.  The incumbent performs assigned tasks without close supervision, following established procedures, and is given direct and detailed instructions on new and different assignments.  The incumbent must have a thorough understanding of the position and be knowledgeable in the use of all technology, equipment and instruments.

Requirements:  High School diploma or equivalent; five years of relevant professional experience in construction, construction management or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job.  A valid Commonwealth of Massachusetts trades license (electrical, plumbing, HVAC or other) or a valid Commonwealth of Massachusetts Construction Supervisor’s license.  Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, time management/organizational skills, and proficient computer skills.  Demonstrated ability to work independently and to prioritize workflow, deadlines and deliverables.  Valid driver’s license.  Applicants will be required to complete a CORI form.  The hourly rate of pay is $40 and the hours are primarily second shift.

**  SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR  **

The Town of Wellesley Information Technology (IT) Department is seeking to hire a full-time (35 hours/week) Systems Administrator.  Under the direction of the Network Manager the Systems Administrator’s primary responsibility is to design and implement highly-scalable data storage platforms and other technologies that support collaboration in the workplace.  The incumbent is a project manager, involved in the strategic planning for system enhancements that increase productivity for over 300 Town network end-users.  As a member of a customer service team with shared responsibilities, the Systems Administrator is expected to support the Network Manager and Desktop Administrator with server virtualization, disaster recovery, cybersecurity, mobile device management, and cloud technology implementation (e.g. Office365).

The ideal candidate would possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline; three years of experience administering IT systems for complex organizations; three years of experience with Windows server operating systems (2008 or later); three years of experience with server virtualization technologies (VMWare, or equivalent); knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and LAN/WAN.  Knowledge of alternate desktop/mobile operating systems (MacOS, iOS, Android) preferred.

Anticipated hiring range $64-78K, DOQ, with excellent benefits (health insurance, vacation, sick time, retirement plan).

                **  SCHOOL CROSSING GUARDS  **

Excellent opportunity for individuals concerned about the safety of children.  The Town of Wellesley is currently looking to hire School Crossing Guards.  We are seeking dependable individuals to assure the safety of school children crossing the streets as they go to and from school. Interested individuals need not be Wellesley residents.  The morning shift is from 7:55 a.m. to 8:25 a.m. and the afternoon shift is generally from 3:05 p.m. to 3:35 p.m.  On Wednesdays, the afternoon shift is from 12:05 p.m. to 12:35 p.m.    Salary is $14.79/hour plus a $5.00 stipend for each shift.  Fresh air and smiling children's faces are included.  Please apply at the Human Resources Department, Town Hall, 525 Washington Street, Wellesley, MA 02482.  AA/EOE


 
** SEASONAL FACILITIES STAFF **  

The Town of Wellesley recognizes the need to provide outstanding maintenance and operation services in its school and town buildings through its Facilities Maintenance Department (FMD). The FMD manages twenty buildings totaling over a million square feet, with a staff of 68 and an operating budget of over $7 million, plus a major capital projects budget.  The Town seeks outstanding candidates who are hard-working, ambitious, and committed to working in a team environment.

Presently we are seeking individuals to assist our custodial staff in summer cleaning of schools.  We are seeking hard working candidates that can follow verbal & written directions, work independently and possess a strong work ethic.  Positions may start as early as June 21st (must be able to start no later than July 5th) and last until late August.  Individuals must be able to work a minimum eight week period. Full time seasonal work is available, no weekend or holiday hours are required and candidates must be least 16 years old to apply.  All work is conducted between the hours of 6:30am and 3:00pm, Monday through Friday and the hourly rate is $12.00/hour for new hires.  Preference is given to Wellesley residents.
