 The Wellesley Recreation Department provides administrative support to the Teen Center.
Purpose: Teen Center is to provide Wellesley youth that are currently enrolled in grades 6-8 with a safe, recreational environment supervised by an experienced staff.
Hours: On selected Saturday nights. Generally runs 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM. 5th Grade Night is 7:00 pm - 9:00 PM.
Fees: A $5 admission fee will be collected from all Wellesley Residents that are enrolled in grades 6-8. The $5 admissions feee covers all activities, entertainment, and staffing. (Food and drinks can be purchased separately). Financial assistance may be available, please contact Tim Kennedy at the Wellesley Recreation Department, 781- 235-2370.
Participants: The Wellesley Teen Center is only for Wellesley Middle School students and Wellesley residents enrolled in grades 6- 8. This will be strictly enforced at the events.
Dress Code: While the participants are generally free to determine their own clothing style, participants must be clean, neat and safe. Any dress style that is provocative, depicts illegal activities, or glorifies themes of sex, drugs, or alcohol will not be permitted. The Teen Center staff will determine this, and if the participants's dress is determined to be unacceptable, a student will be asked to either: go home and change or wear a shirt provided by the Teen Center which will be returned to one of the Teen Center staff members at the end of the event.
