The Town of Wellesley Planning Board is developing a rewrite of the Town's Sign Bylaw for consideration at the 2010 Annual Town Meeting. The proposed Sign Bylaw would replace the existing Sign Bylaw contained in Section XXIIA (22A) of the Town's Zoning Bylaw.
The Planning Board is considering the rewrite for the following reasons:
To add clarity to regulations and processes.
To codify "institutionalized" regulations and processes.
To aid efficiency and enforcement.
To strengthen the legal basis and content-neutrality of sign regulations.
