1. 7:30 pm Studio 5 Pilates 316 Washington Street Wall Sign DRB: 61-07
At the Design Review Boards meeting on October 10, 2007 Mr. Luke Prevost came to the Board for review of a proposed wall sign to be located at the main entrance of the Stuart Building located at 316 Washington Street. The proposed wall would measure 24" wide by 26.375 " high. The proposed sign would have a white background with teal and olive colored borders. The sign would read "Studio 5 Pilates" in teal letters that would not exceed 14" in height. The bottom of the sign also has the studio's telephone number.
The Board began the discussion by stating generally they do not approve telephone numbers on signs. The applicant agreed to remove the telephone number and stated they would resize the sign to center the logo making the height of the sign 24" in height. The Board after a brief discussion noted the pilaster, which the sign would sit upon is recessed and recommended the sign be reduced to fit into the open space of the pilaster.
The Board after a brief discussion established the proposed signs meets the by right requirements of the Sign Bylaw and the Design Review Guidelines and moved, seconded, and voted to:
"Recommend the Building Inspector approve the proposed wall sign to be located at 316 Washington Street to read "Studio 5 Pilates" as presented subject to the sign being square and filling the space between the brick of the existing pilaster."
2. 7:45 pm Large House Review Discussion
